Job Description: We are seeking a self-starting, motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) who is eager to put in an honest day's work and drive results. As a BDR at Overview.ai, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and generating new business opportunities. This role requires someone who is not just an A-player professionally but also an A-person in character and work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Engage with potential clients through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and social media.
  • Schedule meetings and product demos for the AEs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.

  • Proven track record of success in a sales or business development role, ideally in a tech or manufacturing-related industry.
  • Ability to conversationalize with manufacturers to identify applications that our vision system could automate.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • An eye for detail - you see and act on what others don’t and can’t.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.

About Overview

Overview is a company that takes the cutting edge in computer vision and deep learning and applies it to previously unsolvable manufacturing inspection problems. We are truly a full stack company. We install physical cameras into the facility, run inference on the edge and manage massive deployments. Overview also streams gigabytes of video/image data to the cloud for our web platform to give customers advanced insights and analytics.

We are looking for engineers who like to solve tough challenges across the stack. This might include wrangling 500mb images or deploying optimized models in one click that can handle 10 parts a second. We are looking for people who are dynamic, who are excited to work on a different challenge every week, whether it's the final inspection on a medical device or making sure a razor blade has a perfect edge.
