Ladybug and Daddy Long Legs
The perfect maternity costume? You bet, especially because it's so comfortable. But you don't have to be expecting to wear this ultra-adorable (and warm!) getup.
For the Ladybug:
- Cut the red poncho up the middle and curve the cut-out at the bottom to make the two sides of the poncho look like ladybug "wings"
- Cut out an even amount of the same-sized circles to create black "spots."
- Hot glue the circles onto the poncho, being sure to have the same amount on each "wing."
- Paint two foam balls black and let dry completely.
- Fold a black pipe cleaner in half. Attach one of the foam balls to one black pipe cleaner by pushing the pipe cleaner into the foam ball until it feels secure. Repeat with the other painted foam ball.
- Fold down the other ends of the pipe cleaner about a half inch and attach to the black headband evenly spaced with hot glue to create antennae.
For the Daddy Long Legs:
- Attach three of the giant pipe cleaners on one side of the umbrella with a good amount of hot glue.
- Repeat by attaching the other three giant pipe cleaners to the other side of the umbrella, being sure to leave more room in the front to make a face.
- Cut out two circles about three inches wide out of the white foam paper.
- Cut out two circles about two inches wide out of the black foam paper.
- Hot glue the black circles to the white circles to create eyes. Attach the eyes evenly to the front of the umbrella using hot glue.
- Cut out two triangles about five inches tall out of the black foam paper to create "fangs."
- Hot glue the two triangles to the front of the umbrella a little closer together than the eyes to create fangs to emphasize the spider look.
Charcuterie
Wine and cheese are musts during date night, so why not bring your favorite things to Halloween? A little crafting is required, but there's no arguing with the adorable results. Create the wedge and wheel of Gouda with a Styrofoam cake round. Decorate the cake round with yellow and red craft paint, cut out a 1/4-sized wedge as a prop and secure the rest of it onto a headband.
For the grape headband, you'll need purple holiday ornaments and these instructions:
- Cut several 12-inch lengths of floral wire. Thread an ornament onto the center of each wire and twist the ends together.
- Gather all of the wired ornaments together and twist the wires together to create a tapered bunch of grapes. Trim any excess wire pieces. Wrap any exposed wire with floral tape.
- Cut a grape leaf shape from green paper and attach it to the bunch with hot glue.
- Wire two small hair combs to the bottom of the bunch to secure onto your head. You might need some extra bobby pins to secure as well.

Dunkings
Time to channel your inner Ben Affleck and Matt Damon for this costume. Recreate the magic of this year's Super Bowl commercial by using our Dunkings logo to print out iron-on patches. After finding matching orange sweat suits, iron on the logos and accessorize in Dunkin' pink. Dunkin' coffee and donuts are not required but definitely encouraged.
Lip Smackers
This will bring you right back to the days of butterfly clips, *NSYNC and body glitter. To make this costume with your partner, pick out matching or different bright-colored t-shirt dresses and use our Lip Smackers template to create iron-on patches for the front of your gowns. Create "caps" with matching plastic beach buckets and pair your costumes with clear jelly shoes. Early 2000s, here you come!

Victoria and David Beckham
After David's docu-series premiered on Netflix, Posh and Becks are sure to be a popular costume. Plus, if you already own a little black dress and a white collared shirt, you're halfway there to completing the look (just iron on some red letters if you don't want to buy a Beckham jersey).
Michael CeraVe
For a "minimal effort, maximum effect" situation, channel the famous Super Bowl ad involving the one and only Michael Cera and CeraVe moisturizing cream. All you two need to do is layer on as much white clothing as you want and walk around with a tub of CeraVe night cream all night. If you want to drive home the point, you can print out a picture of the actor and tape it onto the container, but that's definitely not required. Some people might not get it no matter what you do — but those who do will appreciate the clever creativity.

Dr. Meredith Grey and Dr. Derek Shepherd
Grey's has been on the air for a whopping 20 seasons, and there's been a lot to love about the long-running medical drama. But we're still stuck on the epic romance between Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) that kicked off all the way back in episode 1. Sure, the love story didn't end the way we all wanted it to, but ask any fan and they'll tell you Meredith and Derek's whirlwind relationship is one of the most iconic parts of the show.
Lydia Deetz and Beetlejuice
Even after their death, Beetlejuice and his bride still find a way to stir up trouble. Sounds like another couple you know (hint, hint), doesn't it?
