Do I have to register my RIDGID tools? ›

To accept the RIDGID® Brand Lifetime Service Agreement, you must register your qualifying RIDGID® Brand Hand Held Power Tool, select Stationary Power Tool or Pneumatic Tool within 90 days after purchase.

Many people assume Ridgid is a house brand of The Home Depot. While Ridgid is sold at The Home Depot, it's owned by Emerson Electric, who bought it in 1966. Ridgid hand tools, with a red and black color scheme, are manufactured here in the U.S. by the Ridge Tool Company (owned by Emerson).

Original receipt is required to verify warranty status. All Lifetime Service Agreement communications should be directed to One World Technologies, Inc., attn: RIDGID® Hand Held and select Stationary Power Tool Technical Service or call (toll-free) 1- 866-539-1710.

RIDGID branded products are built with reliability, dependability and durability and are covered by a Full Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.

The Lifetime Service Agreement provides the original owner of qualifying RIDGID® Brand tools a lifetime of free replacement batteries, free service and free replacement parts subject to the limitations set forth below.

Model and Serial numbers may be found on the label near cord entry on Vac. You should record both Model and Serial numbers in a safe place for future use. RIDGID® Wet/Dry Vacs are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and material. This warranty lasts for the lifetime of the RIDGID® Wet/Dry Vac.

Valid receipt from an authorized retailer is required. Warranty is not transferable to other individuals beyond the original purchaser.

They explained to me that Amazon is not an authorized retailer and they can only give me the 3 year warranty even though it was sold from the Ridgid homepage on Amazon.
